So what is a Multimedia Specialist ?

Personally, I define it as one who is proficient in ALL aspects of those Media which provide information and/or visual and aural clarity when a message is being transmitted by their means to a group of people.

This designation along with the Managerial, Public Relation and Journalism skills are beneficial to advertisers, PR Firms and WEB Design organizations.

Since 2000, I have worked in Radio. The last two years include serving as the promotions coordinator for KMJQ-FM/ Majic 102.1 in Houston, TX . Prior to my tenure at KMJQ, I was the Promotions Director for WBHK-FM/98.7 Kiss FM in Birmingham, AL.

I have successfully assisted with the development and planning of the websites of three stations in the Houston Radio One cluster and the “Birm2” Cluster for Cox Radio in Birmingham, AL.

In addition to web management and upkeep, I have produced, created and edited video for either web-casts or client recaps for all three stations under the Radio One cluster in Houston including a special micro-site for Majic 102.1’s "Live After Five" Summer concert series.

While most of what I do is done on a Mac, I am very proficient with the Windows platform. Since Apple sits, arguably, on the more advanced side of creativity, it is simply a preference of mine.
